Summer Projects

One of my goals for the summer is to actually DO all of the cool craft projects that we have collected over the last year or so.  Dearie got several for her birthday and even more at Christmas last year.  There are way too many of them that we have not done yet, so this is one of our summer projects.

Yesterday, we did a really cool one.  The girls took colored plastic beads and made designs with them in pie plates.  Then I melted the beads until they were smooth.  Then the girls took foil and made the shape of a bowl.  We turned the foil bowls upside down and put the plastic plates over them.  Then we melted the plates until they took the shape of the foil bowls.

I have seen a lot of kids projects over the years, but this is one of the best.  The finished project is really nice, and it was a lot of fun to do.
